I've been! We went about three years ago, and we stayed at the pardadisus Princesa del mar, I think.

We didnt pay for anything extra but it was lovely, lovely room, nice pool, all inclusive rum! The only thing we didn't like was the food. Don't get me wrong, it was ok, but it wasn't amazing. But I'm pretty sure that is standard for Cuba as its renowned for its food (as they have to import a lot, and due to the rationing they had)

I've been! We went on a dual place trip Havana for 3 days and Guardalava(drop dead gorgeous beaches) for AI beach hol for 10 days then back to Havana for 1 night, was ace! I think hotel was called las brisas. Lovely country but I will second the food, not up to much at all and we were 5 star.

We went for our honeymoon and stayed here for our 2nd week, you can link to my report in my signature!

We didnt go for Royal Service but we went to have a look one night! it was a little way from the main resort and bigger, more secluded accommodation. there was also a private beach. it looked very swish!

as a regular guest on honeymoon we still got some nice treats. I just asked H if we were to do it again, would he pay the extra for Royal Service, he said no!

Hopefully someone who has gone for Royal Service will be able to give you a bit more information!!

Royal Service is amazing! We took advantage of a special spa package they were running, which included a 24 hour stay in RS. We had a bunglow type room, with jacuzzi bath (so much fun!) and outdoor shower. You also get a butler who books dinner reservations, runs a bath for you (we didn't get him to do this though) etc. The pool is gorgeous, as it is an infinity pool with 3 levels, overlooking the sea. There is also a private beath for RS guests, although anyone can go onto any beach in Cuba (so you occasionally see locals). The RS restaurants serves the best food in the place. It was delicious.

All that said, we would have been bored up in RS for a whole 2 weeks. It is very quiet. A few RS guests would come down to the main resort for a bit more atmosphere. I would have loved to have had about 4-7 days in RS. If you do decide to go for it, don't book through the tour operator. Either upgrade when you get there or email the resort to arrange it prior to arrival. It's about half the price.

The main resort is really good as well. Staff are so friendly and can't do enough for you. Standard rooms are all junior suites and are nice and roomy. Tbh, you don't spend that much time in them though. The food is really good. Lots of fresh fish. We ate lobster and king prawns most nights. There's also 24 hr room service, which is all inclusive, so that's handy. You have to bear in mind that cuba doesn't offer a huge variety in food, due to the embargo. However, we were really impressed with what was on offer.
