Cufflinks gifts

Mrsbushelltobe, 28 May, 2014 at 17:07 Posted on Planning 0 12

One of the gifts we are going to get the best men (yes three?!?!) is cuff links. H2B would like to get superhero ones.

We are hiring all suits for best men x 3, 2 ushers (our brothers) and both our dads. So do we get just the best men the super hero cuff links, or get all the men that are in weddings suits super hero cufflinks?

I was thinking of getting the dad's cufflinks with father of the bride/groom and our wedding date. Getting the brothers super hero ones also, but do i get H2B superhero ones or engraved ones? For his wedding gift i'm thinking of getting him a nice watch or boudoir photoshoot album? hmmmm

We bought all the men cufflinks but we got them all different. H's brother got football ones, BIL got chicken ones etc. etc. I also got H some shotgun cartridge ones with our wedding date on them. They went down well as gifts plus they can be used again. One which note would the Dads ever wear the cufflinks again if they say 'Father of the Bride'? I know my Dad certainly wouldn't but he loves his Scottish flag ones and has worn them since the wedding.

The good thing with cufflinks is that they can all be different but still be a matching set.

    Super heros

It maybe taking the theme a bit too far but a while ago I saw an American (I think) wedding where all the groomsmen had super hero T-shirts on under their dress shirts. There were some great shots of them unbuttoning their shirts a la superman getting changed ready for action. It may be a bit much but I thought it was pretty cool - although I've always been a bit geeky like that!

I'm just going for what people would prefer themselves, so getting OH, best man & our son (page boy) superhero ones and getting my dad "father of the bride" ones as he's not into the superhero style haha.

I think it would be nice to get h2b engraved ones but then maybe get superhero ones too and then he has them both to keep.

I have purchased our best man's ushers and h2b cufflinks and socks from a company called niddamour......their email is

    *********@*******.***

They are great - pretty sure she sent me pictures of superhero ones too....she had soon many to choose from x good luck x

Suppliers are meant to have special accounts on here, in order to advertise - not pretend to be brides and do fake recommendations!!!

I think that is a very rude thing to say - i am not a supplier I am a bride to be and am getting married on the 20th May next year.

I have already planned and brought a lot of my items and the company I have recommended were very helpful with finding items that i wanted and also at great prices.

I can recommend lots of other companies too though they wouldn't be relevant to this convo.

I have recently joint this site to talk to other brides about their experiences and also to give me experiences though your comment has really put me off.xxx

I must be the only person getting the best men necklaces/rings as ive never seen it pop up on any threads... only seemed fair I got the bridesmaids necklaces/earrings

not that there anything wrong with cufflinks but my OH refuses to wear them and his friends are probably the same

Not sure where you live, but if you live near London, or regularly come into London, it's always worth checking out the Paul Smith outlet store. It's near Bond Street tube station, down a little side street, and they always have cufflinks in there - really nice ones, often fun shapes and colours. And they are usually reduced to about £30.

They are a lovel gift, and come in a really nice, classic box. They will even gift wrap them for you in the store if you smile sweetly at them!
