Currently am trying to calculate when I'll be having my monthlies so that I wont be on on the actual day!

Doll, 6 March, 2009 at 16:36 Posted on Planning 0 8

Is this weird? Does anyone else do this???

How would I make sure I'm not?

Yep, I have done! Bbut if I was due on the week of my wedding I would continue taking the pill untill after the wedding to delay it a bit.

There is also a injection you can have too .

Birth control is the only way. but if your not on any at the moment make sure you start it a good few months before the wedding to give your body time to adjust as you can experience breakthrough bleeding when you first start it, ie bleeding in between periods.

Poss TMI Alert! I'd love to be able to but my AF only appear every 5 -10 weeks - so it's near on impossible. Only alternative is to go back on pill but with the acne that gives me, I'd rather chance it! I'm getting used to the fact that sod's law will dictate I am, a pain but not the end of the world.

Speak to your doctor...there is a tablet/s you can take 3 days before your MP to delay it...we have loads of young girls coming int our surgery to get it for when they are going on holiday.

Interesting...I take it you'd need to know when you are due on though?

Not to scare you or anything but my friend (who was the bride) got hers during the wedding meal! The BM's had been admiring my bag earlier and I said its only good for holding lip gloss and tampons. So they knew where to come for help!!

I have worked out mine will arrive the last couple of days of the HM - sure I read there is something the doc can give you but not sure what its called. It was on here I read it though...........

Thanks, I've been avoiding going to my doc as he's a man and always thinks im being a hypochondriac about everything!

The idea of the injection scares me though..... my friend told me the pill clears up your skin but it causes Acne too?? So confusing! I might need to go into a drop in clinic or something! I just really dont want ot be on on the day as it will affect my mood and I am sometimes quite heavy so ill be paranoid i've leaked or something! My Fish (h2b) isnt keen on the idea, he wants everything au natural....blah! men are so dumb sometimes!

Can you not ask to speak to a female GP?, she will understand a lot more than a man ?

Ur h2b won't want things au natural if you aren't up to enjoying your wedding night IYKWIM ?
