Customising Pashmina/Wraps

MrsA2012, 12 March, 2012 at 12:25 Posted on Planning 0 5

Hi,

I want to get my bridesmaids pashminas for them but don't want to spend too much. So, I thought I'd get them from one of those carts on our high st that sell 3 for £5. They are nice quality so that's fine.

However, I think a plain cream pashmina is a little boring, so wondered if anyone had any ideas on how I could customise them a bit.

I thought about iron on "Bridesmaid" diamantes but they seem to be quite big. I also want to make sure they would want to use them again and don't look tacky.

Any ideas would be gratefully received!

Thanks!

How about just some small diamanté brooches as fasteners

    This.

Or add pearls/diamantes onto the tassels? Are you actually wanting them to wear them as a cover up on the day? If so I would avoid emblazoning BRIDESMAID onto them, it's nice as a jokey getting ready t-shirt, but not as something that is part of their outfits.

You could have their names or initials sewn into a corner? x

I agree that having "Bridesmaid" emblazoned on them wouldn't be appropriate! lol

However, I like the idea of having their name or initials in a corner.

We're having a summer wedding so I don't think they'll need them for the photos. I just didn't want them to think they were boring!

    Thanks for your help!

You can buy iron on diamantee letters and motifs on ebay - they may be an option to customise them
