CV Help

Cracklin Rosie, 2 July, 2008 at 15:45 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 2

I'm just wondering if anyone could maybe help me.

I'm just updating my brother's CV. He was in a bad accident last year while on hols and has spent the last year recovering, attending physio etc. He is now about to apply for a part time job as he is now just about fully recovered and is getting bored sitting around the house.

My question is, should I put a bit in his CV explaining the past year and why he hasn't been working or should he put that in a covering letter?

Thanks

Definitly put it on his CV. There is nothing worse than unexplained gaps on a CV and he has an extremely valid reason for not being in work.

Add the dates and a brief explanation. E.g.

Period of recovery following an road traffic accident. Am now fully recovered following.

Thanks, and you even answered my next question which was going to be what's the best way to word it.

I have just read my post and must have pressed post before i finished typing!

I was going to suggest: Am now fully recovered following a period of rehabilitiation and physiotherapy.
