If you wanted to get something perhaps one of those lovely wedding planner type files - will definitely come in handy for her over the coming months/years!

    Enjoy the party! x

One of our most helpful presents was a Groom's speech tips book.

Another really thoughtful gift was a couple who put together lots of treats and gifts for our animals! There was nothing we actually wanted or needed so it was something very different which made us smile and came in useful!

I would just stick with a bottle of bubbly and/or chocolates and save buying a longer-lasting gift for the wedding when you know what they want (assuming they have a list!)

    Hi,

We had our engagement party last weekend and one of my friends got me a wedding planning book, similar to the one on this link

    https://ohsocherished.co.uk/product/604/83/modern_wedding_planner/a18862d5151d90afa15f6f3377c9128d

It was a really lovely gift, we also got some vouchers, and one of those electonic photo frames (can't think what you call them)

Not to sound ungrateful but we got over 10 bottles of bubbly which neither myself or OH particularly like so not sure to do with it all, so I'd steer clear of bubbly because I think they'll get loads!!

We weren't expecting to get anything at all though so it was a nice surprise to get pressies!!

    C xx

I'm with you on the Champagne.....not my favourite! Why not save it to use at your big day? Your venue may charge corkage, but it'll probably work out cheaper than buying bottles from the venue? xxx

Good point, and I should say that I wouldn't buy bubbly if I knew the couple in question weren't fans ? I wouldn't have liked the wedding planning book though, which just goes to show that you can't please everyone!

clairey, if you're struggling for what to do with 10 bottles of bubbly, I know a good home for it... ? ?
