D day - first weigh in tonight WW and breast feeding

Chocolate Button, 21 April, 2009 at 22:04 Posted on Beauty & Wellbeing 0 1

Hi guys can I join ya?!

My baby is 9 weeks old and I was 3lbs away from goal when I fell pregnant so am pleased to be back on the weight watchers wagon tonight - got to lose exactly the same amount as i lost this time last year!

I am breast feeding and following simply filling - the old 'core' which my leader is happy for me to do as I did really well on core and didn't over eat like some people did and the reason they stopped the core. Is WW successful while breast feeding - I can't see how I can eat so many points and still lose weight!

.. Hi .. I did weight watchers when B was 3 months old and exclusively breast fed... and I did lose a lot.. usually around 2lb a week.. if anything I was struggling to eat the points.. and the weeks that I didn't eat all the points I lost less... some nights I was having mars bars just to use the points up!..

    good luck!

I've been following ww since January and have lost 2 stone. My son is now 6 months and starting to eat tiny bits, so for my period of dieting so far he has been exclusively breastfed. I have never eaten my full quota of points, I usually eat the same as or slightly more than my normal number, which worries me about how I bcan possibly lose when his bf cuts down.

From what slimzoe said before, some people really need the points and some don't. Eat to your appetite, stop when you're full, don't overeat - and let the points come second. I'm sure you'll soon see a pattern of a magic number that works for you.
