Dark Purple Card - help!

hshc86, 21 June, 2010 at 12:17 Posted on Planning 0 11

Hi everyone,

I want to make my own invitations and have searched high and low for dark purple card, preferably with a hammered effect.

The kind of purple I want would be like a cadbury purple, but everywhere I look they only have lighter purple card Smiley sad

Thanks CraftyEm, but it's plain and I'd prefer textured. Also, I'm dubious about buying it as I did buy some from ebay that looked really dark and gorgeous in the photo, but when it arrived it was a medium pinky purple colour, which looks kind of similar to the colour in the photo they have...

    And yet another new card!

We have a new addition to our Metals cards, this one is Violette from the Curious Collection, a lovely Cadbury’s Purple pearlescent colour. Available in our full range of creased, uncreased and pocketfolds

The colour looks a bit pale, i use PDA alot and often their colours are a little off, might be worth giving them a ring and asking for a sample

I also suggest Paper Mill, my local one stocks an array of different colours and shades for really great prices. If you have one in your area it will be worth popping along to have a look.

Thanks for all of the replies ladies, I'll give them all a go and see if I can find them!

I had wanted to make my own invites and place cards, so would need quite a lot but don't want to commit to amounts until I've seen the card and tried it out.

I feel like a bit of a control freak with having to have the PERFECT colour ?

What's the point in settling for something sub-standard when it's the biggest day of your life!!!

I know, that's how I feel but after trawling about 50 sites online and I swear every ebay shop that sells paper, I'm starting to feel like the colour I want just doesn't exist ?

But I know it does as I've seem some ready made cards with the exact shade I want! Can't remember where now though...d'oh!
