December Engagement Shoot???

Miss Twizz, 18 December, 2013 at 00:00 Posted on Planning 0 4

Eeeeep, please help ladies! We have our engagement shoot in a couple of weeks but we are totally stumped about what to do! Chances are it's going to be terrible weather so we can't pin everything on it being outside......... But we're really struggling to find anywhere that has nice outside space but also some cover should we need it!

Has anyone had a rainy engagement shoot? What did you do? Or does anyone have any ideas?? I've been lulled into a false sense of security but now the weather's really turned I am panicking! My hair goes mega frizz in the rain! Lol xxx

I love rainy engagement shoots! Get some cool heart shaped umbrellas ordered!

if you google rainy engagement shoots there's loads of inspiration.

With regards to locations - where abouts in the country are you? I'm sure someone will be able to help.

Rain.....no problem...its about the day and the two of you....well 3 if you include the tog.

Its also good practise and reassuring to know that you will still get good pix even if it rains on your wedding day itself........

The image below...well it was chucking it down although it didn't stop a great photoshoot......the couple are now happily married btw, and the sun shone on that day!!!!!

No worries about potential rain my lovely, as Kharv said a couple of umbrellas and you're sorted Smiley smile

What areas are you looking for? I know of a few places around the Essex/Hertfordshire way that would give a nice mix if you're in that part of the country?

And if it is freeeeeeezing, snowy or just plain rotten just make sure you wrap up warm. Your photographer will know the weather situation and no doubt have loads of ideas. It'll give you the opportunity to grab lots of lovely snuggly shots if nothing else ?

Don't stress!!! The engagement shoot is more about getting you used to having your photo taken and getting to know your tog than actually getting amazing photos. I was like you and worried about it being a perfect day but in the end it was grey and dull. I figured there's nothing you can do about the weather so saw it as a good chance to see how good the tog is - anyone can take good photos on a gorgeous day, only the best can make a grey sky interesting. In the end our shoot turned out great as the most amazing sunset appeared just as we were about to leave, but actually some of my favorite shots are in the drizzle!! We chose to do our shoot on a farm - with farmers permission - as it suited us both great. It also meant that if the weather was awful there were barns that we could go into to do more photos.

Don't worry, you're engagement shoot should be under the control of your photographer. They will have a back up plan, so you sit back relax and enjoy the ride Smiley winking
