Who else has just decided on/bought their wedding dress?? Flashes please!!!
I am so excited! I have FINALLY found mine this weekend! ?
I have been to 8 shops in total and must have tried on a million dresses. I had lots of friends who are already married telling me not to try on too many as you will just get confused and get into a wedding 'fog', but I never had that! When I first started looking I didn't have any idea of what I wanted, what I liked or what suited me, so the first couple of shops were all about getting to that point. When I got there, it seemed that I could not find a dress that suited all my requirements, they always seemed to have one thing but not another.. and I didn't want to give up quite yet and sacrifice anything!
I went to Bethany Hannah Bridal House in Stockton Heath, Warrington on Saturday. Originally I made an appointment here as they could get a dress from Augusta Jones on loan for me to try.. I'd seen the Carolyn dress online, and really liked the look of it. They weren't able to get the dress in for this Saturday as the designer was going to a wedding show and needed their dresses. Sam at Bethany Hannah said come in anyway and look at some other dresses and we can order the other for next week if I still wanted to see it. I am SO pleased I went in...
I didn't want a strapless dress - but this was no problem for the girls at Bethany Hannah. They basically said as long as the dress allows it, their seamstresses can do whatever I want with the dress. I absolutely adore the illusion tops and wanted a dress with a top like this.
I had seen this particular David Tutera dress online a few weeks ago, but discounted it because I didn't want strapless and was trying to be more focussed! I picked it out in Bethany Hannah without realising it was a dress I'd seen online, and said I would try as I loved the detail on it, and the girls said we could alter the top. I absolutely loved it on, it had everything I wanted!
And then here it is with an idea of what it will looklike... It's actually a bolero that I've got on back to front - so ignore the fact that the lace doesnt match or anything!
I'm in looove!
Here's a piccy from the back - haven't quite decided how to have the back. I love buttons on the back of a dress, so I'm going to have some added, and might have a full back to cover my tattoo...
