Decorating

Congratulations on your new home! how exciting

We're doing a version of this

but warming it up a little, my curtains are aubergine and green on a white background, then going with aubergine table lamps, will post pics when all finished.

No suggestions, but we moved into our first home in October, we didnt decorate other than bedroom, as that was the only place that needed decorating. We have decided t o decorate in the summer before the wedding so not looking forward to it lol.

Thanks for replies. lovin that picture. it is decorated just now really nice just not our style but its livable so not really in a hurry. just doesnt feel like your own wen its someone elses work. but at least we dont have to do all rooms at once which is always a bonus x

H suggested pink and gold for our bedroom which I've googled and there are lots of gorgeous examples. Would you be allowed that? Gold is very masculine?

I really like mocha tones with hits of colour like teal, turquoise, green or pink... I would keep walls and floors neutral and accessorise with colour, that way if you change your mind it is easier to update
