Decoration help needed

Mellypoos, 12 May, 2014 at 10:40 Posted on Planning 0 5

Hi

We have our planning meeting in a coupld of weeks and so I am frantically trying to decide all the little details such as decorations, that I've been putting off making Smiley smile I'm not sure what to do for decorations in the second room we have. I'm leaving it set up as it is with the couches etc but I think it maybe needs something else? Would some candles along the mantlepeice and on the tables be enough? The flowers won't be there on the day as they are from someone elses event.

Thanks, Mel

I thinj candles would look lovely but tbh I think it looks fine as it is. It looks cosy and comfy and relaxing and I would be happy to sit in there as a guest and chill out. Just my opinion. Its not the main room so I dont think it really matters if its decorated or not. If you wanna decorate, then just the candles or balloons x

It looks like a nice room. I think candles will be enough and will look better than balloons.

I think that room looks lovely as it is! Maybe a few candles if it's going to be dark outside....

Are you putting the guest book or anything at all in this room? It is lovely but I would bring through some weddingy elements from the main room into here so it is clear that this room is part of the celebration too: perhaps a few flowers to match the tabolecentres along the mantle or on the side tables?

It this room is for relaxing and 'spillover' you may find the venue is reluctant to have real cndles as the room may be unattended at some points. Perhaps look at flickering battery candles as part of a more complex display than a row of tealight holders??
