I'm BM on Saturday and I'm having my legs/eyebrows waxed on Wednesday and my fake tan done on Thursday. Not sure if you're tanning, but you need to wax 24 hours beforehand. If I wasn't tanning, I'd probably wax on the Thursday.

I'll be waxing before the wedding on the Wednesday as we get married on the Friday.

You can't shower for 12-24 hours after waxing, so bear that in mind if you hair needs to be washed the day before and then left until the wedding day.

I get little red dots where the hair has pulled out when I get waxed so I have to do it at least 4 days before I want to show my legs off. Others don't have that problem at all.

If you can I would go one before the time you need to for your wedding day it will give you a good idea what your skin will do..

Personally I am going the day before but I am a bit of a wax pro and go all the time! I have never heard the not washing for a day after - I will ask my beautician about that one! I normally do just not a boiling hot bath!

Mine always reminds me on the way out - no bath/showering for 12-24 hours.

Isn't it funny they all have little things. I would also suggest using Guinot cream to use after makes the hair grow back slower and thinner..

A few times I have been in for a bikini wax and they ask oh what are you up to after this I say horse riding and they think I am crazy!?

Have a google - it's on lots of websites too

Having a bath or shower before waxing is fine and may open the pores encouraging the hairs to be easily removed. However after waxing it's a big no, no, for 24 hours as the heat may open your pores further, inviting bacteria into the skin. Hot water will feel very uncomfortable after waxing almost like a burn .

I will usually have a luke-warm, very quick shower the next morning (another reason why my waxing tends to drop off in the winter). My woman says 12-24 and I always get waxed after work so would jus have a shower literally before, on my way and then again the next morning.

I couldn't do without one because my hair is quite strong and needs a lot of wax so there can be some left on my skin - not visible, but enough for me to notice and find it annoying.

I've also once made the mistake of going into the sun with freshly waxed eyebrows - it wasn't good at all - they burnt very badly.
