    Tbh, I can't see that anything's changed and I stick by what I said in your original post. It's her money and its up to her what she does with it, as long as its not physically changing anything about your wedding, which it isn't. It seems you're peeved that your dad won't benefit as he only drinks whisky. So are you providing a different drinks package for your dad? Sorry to say this, but to me you're coming across as ungrateful and quite petulant.

    I get there could be an issue over timing meaning neither of you gets the full value of what your paying for, so can you check with your venue and say the gift package starts when your meal and your package ends?

    And anyone can easily drink £11.90's worth of drink over four hours at a wedding. Some will drink more, some less, it's a price based on an average I would hazard.
