Dessy Twist and Wrap Dress

MrsVtob3, 6 October, 2013 at 10:40 Posted on Planning 0 6

Hello!!

Has anyone tried/bought these? I was wondering if these are any good! They look lovely on the website, and they have a great colour for my scheme (canal blue). Three of my BMs tried them on yesterday and seemed quite happy with them, but two of them couldnt make it. I am unsure whether to order them from Amazon and just go for it....

Any advice would appreciated Smiley smile xx

I really like the look of them and think that due to the fabric the fit is good and a couple of extra pounds won't matter so no alterations ...I have looked at the two birds version and dessy ones ... Two birds are really really expensive .... dessy are reasonable but I have found that BHS do twist and wrap dresses starting at £70!!

In terms of whether you should order them, have you sent the remaining bms a picture of them? They are very easy to wear and can't imagine anyone will hate them as they can change the neckline to suit their figure ... I'd go work them if you like them and the majority of the bms do too x

I've been looking at these for my 2 BM's as they both have totally different body shapes. One of them is top heavy tho, do you think they would be supportive?

I have ordered my BM dress with a Dessy stockist who had a range of samples of the dresses and then a material colour chart with most of the colour to 'see it in the flesh'. All of the dessy dresses that I saw were lovely and it really is only down to personal style preference to the choice you make. What I also like with Dessy is that they have the colour dyeing rights- so no matter what style you purchase at least you know that the colours will be the same- you could get something to suit everyone and the colour scheme would remain without the problem of differing shades etc. We have ordered the cravats and hankies for the men to match the BM. Hope this helps. x

I have been looking at twist and wrap dresses for the BM's too. Have ordered a sample from InOne Clothing as they have a t&w dress in sky blue, although canal blue would also be perfect but I was put off by dessy bandeau's being £25. Let me know how you get on.

I'm having these dresses for my bridsmaids and brought them from in one clothing. They arrived this week and we're really pleased with them. Would definitely recommend them.
