Was due to get married in Sept this year,

today we found out that our venues has gone into liquidation so venue and deposit is gone, also there are other things (don't wanna divulge too much) which make us thing someone there was as bent as a cheap coat hanger so we won't be seeing it again either.

seeing as another venue would be such short notice etc we have decided to post pone for a summer wedding 2014,

not entirely sure how I feel atm a bit numb? so had a good short lived time on here , but I will be back muhaha!!!

I'm trying to see the silver lining,

i.e, just had a baby v. recently so more time to enjoy baby and recover a bit lol,

start fresh with new idea's

do some things differently

more time to save etc,

pfft, still a disapointment though.

So sorry to hear this. Did you have insurance?

2014 is only next year, don't leave, get planning again ?

Ahh sorry this has happened! I hope you manage to get your deposit back!

You might be able to get a very good deal for a last minute booking at a venue for a wedding this year. Worth looking into!

No insurance sadly,hindsight eh...

we could do , we are gonna focus on getting a house or moving somehwere better than the shithole we've found ourselves in now lol.

Sorry to hear that. Like a previous poster said, it is only next year so you don't need to wait too long. Did you pay the deposit by credit card? Could you get your money back that way?

I'm not entirely sure tbh, I didn't pay it.

I think we have a receipt its just where? .

some of the stuff I've heard its like something off a soap!.
