Devon Minimoon booked so happy =] *flashes*

pumpkin_pie, 28 March, 2013 at 11:36 Posted on Planning 0 13

We just got our confirmation email with some exciting additional info =]

The important stuff
  • Bed linen is included but the pack is waiting on arrival and you make up the beds yourself. Having the beds ready is an optional extra available by arrangement with the owners after booking
  • Check in time is 4pm
  • Check out time is 10am
  • There is a stream bordering the bottom edge of the field which we ask all parents to be aware of. Being a working farm the barns are out of bounds at all times due to equipment. At certain times of the year when the sun is shining haymaking takes place on the fields adjacent to the camping field which can mean baling late into the night. This happens hopefully three times a year and guests will be told when this is happening.
  • You might like to bring, take a deep breath: Torches, wellies, slippers, surf boards, sun hats, rain hats, knitting and a guitar
  • There is no electricity in the tents but all lighting and heating needs are provided for
Kids & Pets

Children are most welcome, pets cannot be accommodated

  • Wood-burning stove with oven and three cooking rings
  • Insulated cool box in each tent

  • Flushing toilet in each tent, plus toilet in shared shower block
  • Sink in tent with running cold water
Heating, lighting & bedding
  • Paraffin lamps, wind up lanterns and candles
  • All bed linen provided plus extra blankets and quilts if its a bit chilly!
  • Bed linen is included but the pack is waiting on arrival and you make up the beds yourself. Having the beds ready is an optional extra available by arrangement with the owners after booking

That looks lovely and, I think, much more romantic than a packaged beach holiday.

Its called Hartland in Berridon £345 for 5 nights, it has its own stream and free range chickens that you can collect eggs for breakfast from. They are baking us a pie for our arrival too, but to be honest I don`t know the finer detail Adam has arranged it =)

Ah how lovely! We are going down to Devon too on the day after the wedding and staying in a lodge.

Like you guys, it's much more our sort of thing than going abroad- we were originally thinking of going on a cruise as it was something completely different but then realised it wasn't really what we wanted to do and it was going to cost at least 3 or 4 times as much x

I'm off for a fortnight in Dawlish Warren the day after the wedding. H2B and I went there on a surprise joint birthday holiday end of 2011, loved it so much we booked it for our honeymoon! Same caravan and everything! lol
