<sings> The world must be coming to an end, och aye. The world must be coming to an end... </sings>

There was an earthquake in Mexico City yesterday too. I wonder if someone somewhere is trying to wreck havoc with the world? ?

I remember a proper tremor when I was about 16 and home alone. It was really scary actually as the house literally shook quite violently from side to side 5 or 6 times and our labrador who wasn't allowed on furniture rand straight upstairs and onto my bed, bless him. ? It turned out to be some sort of collapse in an empty local mine rather than an eartquake but still was spook inducing!

I am just south of Manchester and felt a very mild tremor. Nobody else in my office noticed it so it was really very mild.

I'm in Preston and we definitely felt something - kind of like heavy footsteps bouncing under your feet... more shuddery really.

Link says the tremor was 3.7 - we have one like that every month or so here (near the North Anatolian fault line) but generally they are too small to feel. I guess the epicentre might have been close to the surface with the LD one.
