Did anyone see Bridezillas yesterday?

jojo2, 28 June, 2011 at 10:03 Posted on Planning 0 30

I don't know if it was a repeat but it was the first Bride on Bridezillas to be jilted on her wedding day. She was in her wedding dress with all the guests present and the groom failed to show with no warning or phone call. I can't believe that she not only went on to hold the wedding reception regardless but also forgave him the next day and went to Las Vegas and married him. Apparently he couldn't stand her family interfereing, but didn't have the guts to tell her.

She must be desperate!

Yeah I watched it this morning, and yup I think she might have been desperate - shelling out all that money to have him not answer his phone and not turn up and then him cry "real tears" and elope

I saw that DTTB, it was absolutely awful, he was a very very selfish man and there's no way on this EARTH i would have married him after that, show or no show! He KNEW how much of a homebird she was yet he still thought sod it! He could have easily had a "casino theme" in the UK as a happy compromise. haha I was screaming at the tv don't do it!! Not sure why I let that show get to me so much!

I saw that Bridezillas ages ago and it was just gutting. And the DTTB episode with Las Vegas. I can't believe either of those women went on to marry the blokes...!

I wondered the same thing. Also know who it is.

JoJo- I didnt see that one. Although I did see one where the woman made the man cry. She made him cry so hard that when he was trying to talk the subtitles said "inaudiable" I shouldnt laugh but it did make me chuckle

I'm sure I read that the DDTB Vegas couple split up shortly after the wedding, what a surprise (not)!

Yes, but when you heart every damn thread on the page it doesn't help you find anything and instead has the effect of making everyone's eyes bleed. The hearts are used in the Baby Talk forum to indicate a birth or pregnancy announcement thread. Over here they have no meaning beyond irritating people.

Yes I Saw that one too it was hilarious "Marsha you left me" what a wimp!

It is even sadder that I remember her name but it was cringeworthy and she was a cowbag

I saw that DTTB and have to say I disagree!

Why was he being selfish when he was doing what he really wanted? And why is the woman demanding to have this, that the other in this country not selfish? Why should he compromise over the woman? I'm not saying some of the things he did weren't stupid but on the whole, I don't get the "bride's way is right" theory. It's a man's wedding too.

Trouble with that episode was that they had completely different ideas. But then as much as I like and watch the show, I wonder why you'd go on it if you had such set ideas of what you wanted for your wedding.

    Hi GeordieBarbie

I didn't mean he was selfish as it should all be the brides way or the highway (which i agree is equally selfish!), but he seemed to have little consideration for what his bride wanted, in fact i'm sure he says several times "x probably won't be happy about this". Had the shoe been on the other foot and the bride was acting in the same way I'd also think she was being selfish.

I completely agree that its as equally the man's day as it is the womans but if you both have such conflicting views on what you want from your day (ie Vegas or UK) then there does need to be some form compromise involved.

I think the fact that the groom on that episode of DTTB spend a lot of the money in casinos with his friend says a lot about the relationship... All the Bride got was a night out in town.

GB - I know what you're saying but I thought a wedding should be about compromise and merging ideas. So a casino-style wedding and HM in vegas might have been a nice idea?

I saw that 'Las Vegas' episode of DTTB, then saw an update. She agreed to marry him on the condition that she had a massive party back home for their first anniversary, and that hadn't happened at the time of filming, and they were expecting their first baby i think Smiley smile

    the man himself....http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/tv/2010/09/dont-tell-the-bride.shtml
