Did anyone watch the Fixer

That shop was second on my list to go to. It's 15 mins from me, I live in a small town just outside Kettering with a bridal store so I'm hoping to buy from them, but if not, Courtyard was going to be my next stop as it's the nearest....not anymore!

Being advised to still offer dresses above a brides budget because 'all brides get what they want for their wedding' is BS. I don't know about anyone else but I can't magic money out of thin air!

Then in the re-brand they no longer stock dresses under £700, which might be ok for some brides but not really for me, £7-800 is my MAX budget and knowing full well thanks to the show I'll be shown dresses above my budget just instantly makes me feel pressured before I've even walked in...no thank you!

Even after Alex gave them all the gen they STILL seemed far less professional and knowledgeable than my local store and I still believe atleast for the daughters their heart isn't in it as much as it could be.

When I heard about the show being on I thought it would do their business good but I don't think so anymore, I think it showed them in a really poor light and I'm pretty sure I won't be the only person feeling/thinking what I am after watching it!

Yes i don't think i would have wanted to go there after that. I couldn't believe all those dresses at 150 pound that didn't get sold

I too watched it and thought it was interesting. I loved how the shop looked at the end but I agree that they should not try and encourage brides to go over and above their budget. I will never be a millionnaire as I could never do that, if a bride has a budget, I will stick to that budget as much as possible unless they want something that is really unachievable and then I give examples of alternatives to allow them to stay within their budget.

I can't believe that those dresses didn't sell either, £150 for 1 £2k dress, was it that they were dated or just poor advertising of the event I wonder?
