Did anyone write to Jim'll fix it as a kid?

I didn't but a close friend did (I didn't know her when she was young).

She started her letter:

Dear Jimell....

She thought that was his name. We didn't take the mick out of her at all for that. We definitely never changed all her name signs on various doors and pigeonholes to 'Jimell'.

I asked to go ice skating with Torvill and Dean. Never happened. ☹️

I asked to ho paragliding in Corfu. Quite specific yet it never happened, I used my best writing set and everything.

As kids, we (me and my friends) all used to call him Jim'll!! Jim'll Savile.
