Did you all or have you met with the photographer before the wedding?

Im sure they are all different but we met with our one and she did a free engagement shoot just to see what style of pictures we like and so we feel like we r not strangers on the day. also we meet a few weeks before just to go through any request we may have.

im sure they all work different though. also if you feel like you do want to meet up with ur photographer you should ask them xx

I always insist on a meeting prior to go over all the details, I generally insist on one the week before hand but it depends on when the first meeting was but contact is always made regardless.

We've met our Tog once for an initial chat, came away and decided to book so she sent the booking forms etc in the post. Then we will meet her again on the tuesday before the wedding to finalise things - she wants to run through what photos we want and with who, and she also wants to familiarise herself with who's who in the wedding party

I think it's normal to meet up a few days before your wedding just to go through the fine details

I think its important that you "gel" with them and meeting them is the easiest way to do that.

She will meet us again at the engagement shoot and then again a few weeks before the wedding to visit the venue.

We had our final meeting with ours last week. Met her at our venue so showed her round and went through some of the photos we want and where we want them. I believe its important to met the photographer as they will be a big part of your day and you need to get on with them.

We meet up with the client usually 3-4 weeks before the wedding at the venue to run through what ideas they have, get the names of the wedding party / parents and any other important people, and also to agree a wet weather plan.

Usually then just call the client a few days before to confirm everything in their booking, confirm the timings that they have given us and just make sure everything is ok.

Aside from the 4 times we've spoken to him so far, we have an engagement shoot booked for July and a Tuesday afternoon meeting the week before the wedding at our venue.
