Did you haggle?

Fantastic Caketastic Cakes, 28 January, 2011 at 20:59 Posted on Planning 0 4

Just seen a post about costing of weddings and I'm just wondering did you take the price they gave you or did you haggle a bit.... Like the venue OH says never pay the 1st price (business man head) but I find it all a bit uncomfortable...

then you watch things like Dont tell the bride and they go into a a 6k venue and offer 2k and they agree ... or is this just done to look good on tv ... wedding planners definitley do this but do B2B's go down this route too ?

We got the DJ and chaircovers thrown in and a reduced rate for the hotel rooms the night before as we have a lot of family travelling up the day before. Think thats about it.

Our venue wont do any deals unfortunatly (in fact none of 8 venues we visited would come to any deals). I havent come across any companies that will allow any haggling what so ever :-(

See, I'm always happy to haggle, or throw something in if the couple are serious about booking. Or maybe I'm just a soft touch ?
