I learned recorder in first school, have no idea how to play it now. My parents got sick of the unrelenting squaking and it mysteriously disappeared, I found it in the bin snapped in half!!!

Middle school I did violin for about a term and could play 3 blind mice or some other boring nurdery rhyme!

Self-taught myself to play keyboard and can still play a little bit now Smiley smile

The only instrument I really pick up nowadays is plastic with a wire and 5 coloured buttons.

I learnt the Guitar for 4 years.. But that was 15 years back and wouldn't have a clue now!

My OH has 7 or 8 stringed instruments; acoustic and electric Guitars, Banjo and Mandolin. He can play them all, I love the Banjo. He can play the drums too.

I let him have a music room when we first moved in:

The only instrument I can play, is the triangle, and even then I can't keep a good rhythm

Most of my exes have been in bands and have tried teaching me drums, guitar etc, but I just couldn't pick it up.

OH has also been in bands, but he knows i'm not musical so hasn't even attempted to teach me.

My friends used to make the music, I designed their album covers.

i can't play any instruments and never really learnt, my #2 son is tbh amazing, he plays guitar and keyboard all self learned, and has a real ear for music, he has even been asked to go to paris for some music comp next year with the school (proud mom moment) and has won prizes for finger tapping (?)

I learnt to play the clarinet at school. I haven't played in a while, but I can still read music, so I could probably pick it up again after a little practice.

My OH can play the piano by ear - he can listen to a song and within about 30-60 seconds play it.

I played the flute for 4 years at Junior school, then took up the guitar at Senior school and did my Music GCSE with it... not touched it since though!

My cousin is the musically talented one... he can play the hang drum brilliantly, and the didgeridoo... at the same time!!!

He even set up his own annual festival - Hangout UK - which has been going for a few years now!

I'd love to be able to play by ear, it's a fantasic 'gift' - I think my OH is brilliant, at a party in October, all the guests threw various songs at him ranging from "Bat out of Hell" to the American National song (we were in America at the time) and he managed them all.

I used to play the flute (also the recorder at Junior school!) and quit when I was about 15 ish as it wasnt very 'cool' then! Really regret it! I still have a flute and a piccolo but hardly ever play now. Wish I had the time to play!

I played the recorder at junior school then self taught the treble recorder too.

I then played the violin, gave up when I went to high school

Fell in love with the oboe, and played for a year but was rubbish

Took up the violin again for a year then gave up

Then finally found the clarinet but only got up to grade 3 before 6th form when I had no time to practice during A Levels. I got one for my 21st though and he lurks upstairs until I finally get off my bum and re-learn him.

I played the clarinet as my second instrument for my GCSE Music exam but my "first instrument" was my voice..... You'd never guess it listening to me in the car!!

I learnt to play the reocrder when I was about 5 I think, then started on the tenor recorder when I was about 15. I also starterd to play the flute when I was ten and I still play it now, i play in a concert band and do regular concerts and things. I would really like to play the oboe though, think it sounds lovely!

I played the recorder in primary school (like everyone did!) and started flute at age 10. I played it all through secondary school, but haven't played it since. I also sing a lot. I taught myself to play the piano in secondary school, but, as I'd only been used to instruments (and voice!) with one note, I found it hard to play chords naturally, so it was a bit of a plinky plonk!

I learned recorder and can still play it (not that there is usually an occasion that I need to!).

I can play cornet/trumpet too, learnt at school and still play occasionally, and self taught keyboard but not very good.

Hubby is lead guitarist in a band.

I learnt to play the recorder and could as most people play 3 blind mice lol

Then me and sister got an organ she has proffesional lessons outside our home and I had one who came ours. Did not get very far, my sister did though and did very well exams the lot.

I could play little donkey which is one of my favourites.

Then I went on to play the guitar which I loved and wish I had kept it up. My nan bought it me one xmas and I loved leasons every Monday from school
