I used Eclipse Leisure, they were very competent and gave me an emergency mobile number which was reasuring as we went to Edinburgh for the weekend. The deals were really good, I priced everything seperatley and we saved something like £30 each. We paid £160 for 2 nights in gorgeous apartements, cocktail making class, belly dancing class and a meal at Bella Italia.

I am arranging my own and we are going to Blackpool for the weekend. I did a lot of looking at these Hen Companies and honestly don't believe that they can do it any cheaper than you can find yourself.

    Whoops - I stand corrected! ?

We are going to Blackpool, and I booked Travelodge, Pleasure Beach, Cabaret Show, and Dinner. This came in at £77.20, whereas the companies were more expensive. There were a few that could match the price but that was staying in B&Bs, often with sharead facilities...but that's Blackpool for ya ?

I suppose it depends where you go.

I've booked mine through UKGIRLTHING. Really recommend them. £101 each, includes lunch and cocktail masterclass, 2 course dinner at Las Iguanas, Club Entry, Hotel Night Stay at Holiday Inn and Breakfast the next day. All in Birmingham.

Pricing it all up separetely have definitely saved loads. The best thing is they have an online payment tracker, everyone goes on and pays themselves, can pay in installments. So much easier. I was impressed, and took the hassle out of it all. xx

I didn't but h2b has for his stag do. Its a good way of doing it as he isn't out of pocket as they have to pay online unlike mine which i've paid out for and am still waiting for 4 people to pay me back ? They do hen dos too.

Hi i did my own, using UKgirlthing, who have been fab, and trust me i have been awkward.

we are off to liverpool for a 2 night 4* stay, indoor go karting, 3 course meal and vip pub n club entry for £159.

and you get a tracker for each person to pay online for themselves so no money to collect, saving you more hassle.

    Hi Excitedbride,

My Chief bridesmaid also didn't seem that bothered about pulling her finger out and organising my hen do. I said I wanted it booked by Christmas (as didn't want my friends not to be able to come because of other hen-do's or commitments) but she didn't do anything about it. So I spoke to my 2 other bridesmaids about it and they have sorted it out between themselves with some (small) input from my Chief bridesmaid.

I send them an email with people who I would like to go, their contact details, about the sorts of things I might like to do as a hen do and the sorts of things I wouldn't, and let them get on with it!!!!! I really wanted a surprise, as OH and myself have planned our wedding and know exactly what is supposed to happen and I never get surprises!

As a side issue have you spoken to your chief bridesmaid about it? Shy may feel overwhelmed about organising the hen do (as I believe mine did, as well as being too busy, and not having the internet). Do you have any other bridesmaids that could help out? I guess it depends whether you are happy to sort it our yourself. I can be a bit of a control freak so it has helped me to know that it's one less thing I have to do in the build up to our wedding.

    Hope to help X
