did you/are you getting married at Holme peirrepont hall in nottingham?

Hello

i'm getting married at holme pierrpont hall next may and wanted some catering help.

it says in the contract that we have to go with one of their approved caterers. We have met one of them and they were loverly but a bit too expensive, we have a meeting with the other one but she was slow getting back to us and Mr Brackenbury called her hairy!! I called to get details of other people we could use but they would only give me the details of a guy who was dismissive and really expensive. HELP!!!

who did you go with? one of the recomended or one of your own? if you went with Gail or Fiona which did you pick and why were they good did you have any problems?

Hi Sophy. I know we've had some hitched exchanges before, so you might remember I'm getting married at HP. I'm not aware of anyone else on this forum who has done. We're going with A La Carte. Were they the ones who were too expensive or the hairy one? We were thinking of going with Gail as she apparently doesn't charge a corkage fee (you can tell where our priorities lie!) We got a quote from Fiona but that seemed quite expensive, but we didn't actually add it up so might not be much difference (was a bit put off by having to pay £2.50 per jug of tap water!)
