Dieting :(

LVDM, 18 August, 2013 at 03:00 Posted on Planning 0 4

I've just joined SW Online from Australia, we get married in 9mths and really need to lose some weight. Have followed the plan years ago and am hoping to get back in it. As I can't attend weekly meetings and don't have many friends here yet are there any ladies here that are on SW that keep me on track and motivated? OH is doing it with me and I've joined the gym so fingers crossed all will go well. I'm just scared that I won't do as well with out the weekly weigh in club to keep me on track.

Please tell me your success stories and how you did it, i'm determined my dress will need taken in by two sizes come next year haha

MyFitnessPal.com for me. I've also gone from high street size 16 to 8/10. It's amazing how much of an incentive that big white dress is. Mine was only £150 but I was determined not to spend any money on alterations and I haven't.

I do SW and go along for the weigh in every week but don't tend to stay for the meetings any more. I have lost about 4 1/2 stone so far but much less over the last year as I'm not so well on track! I'd still love to lose another two stone for next year and have just started going to Zumba every week to help tone up a bit.

Going along for the weigh in every week stops me from putting it all back on again even if the weight loss is agonisingly slow. Keeping a record of your weight each week really helps you keep an eye on things and take a bit of responsibility for the weeks that don't go so well - can you and OH do a weekly weigh in together and keep a tally of your weight loss? Two dress sizes is definitely do-able for next year!

I managed to lose about 2 1/2 stone on SW, I got to target in November 2012 and have pretty much been able to maintain my weight. My advice would be planning and variety. I used to do a weekly food plan and base a shopping list around that and found it really helped, also don't fall into the rut of eating the same meals, I did this and found I got bored and also my weight loss really slowed. Good luck, it really is an easy plan to follow and means you can still have a life and eat out, drink etc

Ive just started SW and have lost 8lb so far :-)

you could maybe tell us when your weigh day is (mines wednesday) and you could share with us your progress every week....abit like they do at slimming world. I know this is not nice for some people but i would be willing to HONESTLY share with you how im doing weekly if you think it will help you stay on track.

Otherwise you could have a weight tracker ticker like I have to give you a visual aid

    xxx
