I'm having a bit of a nightmare and wondered what, if anything I can do.
Basically I took out what I thought was satallite insurance and it was an automatic renewal. I completely forgot about said 'insurance' until beginning of month when payment appeared on my credit card. Since then I've been trying to a) cancel said policy which now turns out to be a service agreemnt rather than insurance, and b) get a refund.
When I itially spoke with the co, they told me to write to cancel the policy, which I did on beginning of this month. Not once did she say to me that I wouldn't get a refund. I only found out on wed that this would be the case, unless I had cancelled 10 days prior to renewal.
I just spoke with the manager there who is going to listen to the conversation I had and call me back tomorrow to find out if the person I spoke with said I wouldn't get a refund.
But in the meantime I've searched high and low for the policy and cannot find it (my fault I know) but is there anything I can do?
In the meantime, they've said I can cancel the policy now, but I will still be covered until 2009. The evil streak in me is to call every week to get someone to look at my sky box but I know thats childish... ?
