Different breast sizes

Just been to the doctor with my daughter, she’s 16 in a couple of weeks and her breasts are significantly different sizes (at least 2 cup sizes different). I’m at a loss as to what to say to her, has anybody any experience of this? Obviously we’ve noticed this difference for some time but have...

Just been to the doctor with my daughter, she’s 16 in a couple of weeks and her breasts are significantly different sizes (at least 2 cup sizes different).

I’m at a loss as to what to say to her, has anybody any experience of this?

Obviously we’ve noticed this difference for some time but have never actually seen a doctor about it, I keep trying to tell her that due to hormones they could change by the time she’s 18. Of course she is devastated, I think she imagined the doctor would be able to give her a magic pill and has basically told her to get on with it.

My heart breaks for her as she is so self conscious about it.

    One of my friends had one breast bigger than the other - it was noticeable but not massively so but she was really paranoid about it and it used to get her down all the time. She ended up having corrective surgery on the NHS, I don't think she even had to wait that long. Maybe that's not the right answer for your daughter as she's still very young and things may even themselves out (and surgery isn't obviously always the best solution anyway) but my friend has never looked back.
