Dinner thread

Well as it's a sunday, dinner can be lunch or later!

What are you having?

I have a large piece of brisket in my slow cooker with wine, onions, carrots, thyme and stock. Not sure what else to make with it, though I know OH will request Yorkies.

I will have leftovers, what could I do other than beef sandwiches tomorrow ?

Yum. beef salad or stir fry are good options.

I'm having fiery meatballs and pasta. Probably not best in this weather but i love it on sundays.

I've a free range chook basking in the heat in my oven at the moment, with carrots, peas and new potatoes (and my normal large box of stuffing all for me made!).. Simple dinner today (in about an hours time) as I can't be bothered to try and hack at the butternut squash, There will be fruit salad for pudding if my 20 month old leaves me any bananas and apples.

Lunch was everything in the fridge we didn't eat this week with pasta and pesto.

The mothership is cooking dinner so will be delicious allotment goodies I should think - she has grown some gorgeous potatoes, which I'm looking forward to.

Going to my Aunt's for a birthday tea, so I expect it will be sandwiches, crisps, sausage rolls etc. Which I do enjoy but it's a rather unhealthy end to my irst week of healthy eating, which amazingly I've stuck well to.

Lovely MIL treated me to an indian takeaway last night and we didn't even finish half of it, so I have the leftovers for tonight. sag paneer, okra bhaji, aloo gobi and chapati, mmmm. there's an open bottle of a spicy french rose in the fridge too which might tempt me into sunday night drinking.

I have a chicken I plan to roast with lemon & garlic tonight. H has gone out for lunch with some work colleagues, so I'm not sure how hungry he will be tonight. Will probably serve chicken with rice and spinach that needs using up

I'm making bread today (lovely leaven bread) so we may have chicken sandwiches instead...

Well we were supposed to have roast chicken but the lovely weather has tempted us in to a BBQ so we have burgers, sausages, halloumi kebabs and asparagus to go on the BBQ with some salad. The whole chicken will be roasted once all that is done and we will have that tomorrow. Yum!

<stamps foot> The mothership is my MIL. I had the name first. <stiff bodied tantrum>

We went out for lunch - I had a roasted fig and goats cheese salad which was delish. Dinner is lentil and bean bake.

If I don't randomly pig out on the contents of my fridge, then veggie spaghetti bolognaise. For one.

Buckwheat and chicken salad with toasted pinenuts and dried apricots, and a green salad for us I think.

The gammon has gone in the fridge for tomorrow, Mr Hole suggested chicken shish kebabs with dirty garlic sauce instead <dribble>

Cold pizza from last night for me. Followed by a Belgian Bun. Followed by Revels. I now feel sick...

I am liking the sound of the buttered jersey royals though. I have some of those. That could be tomorrow's dinner.
