Dinner thread

Cosmopolitan, 8 August, 2009 at 19:21 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 12

So whats on the menu this evening?

I'm following Weight Watchers at the min and due to the Indian I had on Thursday I'm very low on points. We're having sandwich steak in pittas with roasted veg.

Let me live vicariously through your (hopefully) more exciting dinners!

I had boiled eggs and soldiers tonight. Not exactly inspiring. I really need to go food shopping.

Not particularly exciting here I'm afraid - I've got some cold spanish omlette (made with sweet potato and whole cherry toms) which I am going to have with some salad. I may push the boat out later and make some salted popcorn!

A chicken dish that someone (Mrs Magic maybe?) posted the other day http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/4251/chicken-cacciatore

A read through te comments gave some good tips, like upping the garlic and black pepper. I added some parmesan with the mascarpone too. Was lovely.

    Then this chocolate tart http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/4629/nocook-chocolate-tart-

We're having salmon although I don't know what with or how it's been cooked - H is in the kitchen and I've just put the munchkin to bed - but it smells lovely! I'm hoping to persuade him to go out afterwards for chocolate ?

Smoky bacon noodles (not from a packet though!) and a GU tiramisu - absolutely gorgeous dessert!

I do WW and don't count my once a week curry takeaway! I think the diet is such starvation anyway that you need it once a week. I still lost 2-3lbs a week this way. I would never dream of moving points around from one day to the next! Start afresh!

Anyway, we had a load of allotment veg from my Mum with tinned toms and pasta. Not very exciting!

Really? I am being really strict with myself as this week was my first weight in and I only lost 1.5 pounds. I was so good as well so it was a bit disappointing.
