Dinner thread

What's everyone having? I'm in a bit of a mediterranean mood - might make hummus and flatbreads and salad and haloumi cheese and either chicken or chicken livers.

We're eating properly tomorrow (ILs) and Sunday (mum's) so I suspect it's pizza tonight. Actually I don't suspect it I know it, because I'm not cooking anything ?

Paprika Chicken, haven't had it in an age. Was meant to be slow cooked Ginger Lentil & Sweet potato soup but I forgot and didn't remember in time to cook it and it isn't as good on the hob.

    Oh that sound lovely.

We are having beef noodle stirfry, more through necessity than choice. I really fancy chicken and bacon risotto but the rice noodles i bought go out of date today.

I think the reason i want risotto is it means i have to open a bottle of wine and it would be rude not to finish it wouldnt it?

Mr K is out tonight and it's my first night at home in a week so I quite fancy something comforting like egg, bacon, chips and peas.

It was going to be teriyaki salmon (with lovely organic salmon and udon noodles ?) but it has been decreed a chippy night so I'll probably be snacking later as I can't bear Scouse chippies.

No idea. MrKB is dropping my bosses car back at his house tonight and I have to follow to drive him back. Some kind of takeaway as we won't be back until late and the girls will be starving if I suggest we cook something. Probably Dominos, or chinese.

Cheesecake. Which I forgot about and overcooked, so it's cracked. But I've got a cold, so am not caring.

Something from a motorway service station as we're driving up to stratford upon avon for a family weekend away.

Or we could wait until we arrive at the hotel and have a very late dinner.

Every second or third service station seems to have a M&S now so you can always have a "picky tea" from there. A bit nicer than stale sandwiches courtesy of Road "Chef". Have fun!

That was my plan - I was meant to pick up some sandwiches ast lunch time but by the time I got out, there was hardly anything left.

It's not a long drive so I suspect we might just bomb all the way there and eat when we arrive.

Pork chops in apple gravy, boiled new potatoes and I ought to use some of my Farmer's market veg up, so probably sprouts and carrots. Pudding should be lemon meringue pie (we don't normally have pud but I'm still using up eggs) if I can be bothered to make it ?

I've just ordered the most random assortment of Chinese food ever because I've only got a tenner on me and they don't take cards. Now just have to muster effort to walk to the end of the street and pick it up but I'm too lazy - in the words of my 3 yr old nephew, it's haaaaaard wooooooork ?
