Hi

I was wondering what people though about those folk who park in disabled spaces where there is a requirement to display a blue disc?I know someone who does this and uses a relative's dics.

How bad is this...I think it's awful and dishonest

Unless the person who owns the badge is in the car with the person driving they should not be using the badge and should not park in the spaces. I'd report it if thats the case.

WZS, totally illegal. I have banned Mr P from ever doing this with mine, he did it once and I went mental, as it'd be me that lost my badge at no loss to him!

If they have a genuine need then they should apply for their own badge and not abuse the relatives.

Irritating as hell. Are these people really that lazy that they cannot walk a few extra feet from a standard parking space?

I get really annoyed with just the thought of this.

Late last year we had a temporary blue badge for H as he was having trouble walking at the time. It really did make a difference to him, although we did feel guilty using it sometimes, especially if he was having a good day and could walk fairly reasonably, but in the main it made his life so much easier.

And no matter how tempting, we only ever used the disabled space when H was in the car.

That and people having no badge at all are two of my biggest bug bears in life. My mum came to pck me up from hospital on Friday so used my badge (which is allowed). When they wouldn't let me leave, she felt so bad, she had to move the car.

If I forget my badge, I won't use a disabled space. I just wish I had the guts to say "you have forgetten to display your badge" to the people without, especially the people who are only nipping to the cash point....

Gah that annoys me too. Having said that a couple of times my dad has forgot my sister's badge and checked with a car park attendant and they've said for him to park in a space as his vehicle is obviously for a wheelchair.

I was going to ask this anyway so if anyone on this thread knows... I've seen quite a few disabled spaces which have a sign or some other reference for them being for disabed drivers, does that mean I can't use them when I have a passengers who is disabled/has a badge?
