sherbetpip, 29 August, 2011 at 18:01 Posted on Planning 0 9

Hi,

We have booked our wedding at the Moorside Grange hotel in Disley, I'm wondering if anyone has ant feedback from their big day there or have been to any weddings there as a guest?

Thanks

Jenny

    Hey,

We are sept 2012, so you will be a married lady with some good feedback by the time its my big day, who are yo dealing with at the venue? I am dealing with Manisha at the moment, i have found them a bit slow to respond so far and not sure if its because we have booked the wedding package so they are guarenteed money.

I am so excited about the wedding and its 12 months away, you must be super excited by now.

I had also heard the drinks were expensive but i suppose you are a captive audience there and they can pretty much get away with it.

Were dealing with manisha aswell. we had some issues at first via which packages involved what etc. I think i probably confused her more than she confused me lol

Its much better dealing with her over the phone or in person as i found via email to be quiet slow aswell. (i have sent them an email today though )

    Shes very nice though.

Were having a package aswell .

are you getting married there aswell?

did you go for the package with the dj/cake/chair covers etc or without

we went without so are now trying to sort everything out

Yeah we are getting married there, doing everything in one place, less fuss i think, we went for the £3599 package with everything in it but removed the florist as we have a family friend who is doing that, the other parts of the package are quote good, they contact you and tell you when you need to meet up with them etc.

I went up there a few weeks ago and was having another look around with my mum and there was a bride and groom milling around who had been married there the day before so i asked them how it had gone and she started crying saying she was so emotional about it as it had gone so well and they had done everything she asked and couldnt praise them enough so that made me feel better.

Are you going to their wedding fayre on the 25th? I thought it might be good to see some of their suppliers and hopefully they will have a table set up to show you what it will look like on your day.

I am getting married here too, august 2012. I am so excited i cant wait. We are going for the £2012 package and then adding the extras ourselves.

We originally went for the £3599 package but when i contacted the cake people and flower people the quotes were just far too much for what we wanted. The package allows £250 for a cake yet the cake shop does not do any 3 tier wedding cakes for less than £300... so we would have been paying extra.... i found this for the flowers and photographer too. I have different suppliers which are providing the same services but for much less money. Just something you might want to consider.

This is just my personal opinion and what I have found after lots of internet research.

The Mooreside have been great up to now and i cant wait for next august.... feel like its never going to come around.

Which room are you ladies having?

Ooo pictures of the room dressing would be great, although i am not in the Garden room, we have the Pennine and Alpine also.

I am loving that i have found some other brides who have chosen that venue, we can give each other tips etc.
