Disney

TheRealTricks, 26 November, 2013 at 10:45 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 44

Inspired from something I saw on an earlier thread and the fact that I cant wait to go and watch Frozen;

What is your favourite Disney film?

You can only pick one!

Mine is The Jungle Book. Shere Khan is my favourite Disney villian - so polite!

For 'new age' Disney stuff its gotta be Tangled. I think its the horse in it more than anything, he's hilarious! As far as when i was a kid, it surely has to be The Little Mermaid, although Ursula scared the living bejeezus out of me!!

When I was a child, it was always Little Mermaid. I wanted to be Ariel. Now, I love Aladdin. I've realised that mermaids are a ridiculous idea and magic carpets are much more likely...

Which ones are Disney again? The new lot that look like puppets and stuff, not the old cartoons.

    Monsters Inc? Shrek? Wall-E?

    Ooh that's REALLY hard.

If we're going by proper Disney and not Disney Pixar then I'd have to say Lion King. If the Pixar ones are allowed then Finding Nemo.

I love most of them so it's really really hard to choose. Meanie!

Ok, after scanning a list of Disney films, I have realised that there is a stand out one that I watched daily during my childhood.

    Mary Poppins.

    Muppet Christmas Carol.

Apart from this, I loathe Disney with a vengeance.

Me too - so much so, my now H sent me this via email on my birthday when we were apart in 2009:

I still have Wall-E and almost had a nervous breakdown when my twin nieces found him in my bedroom recently and disappeared off to play with him (they're only 2, bless!)

Me too! We did it as a school play and I learnt it off by heart, then my sister and her friends and I would all dress up and perform it for our families endlessly. I still know all the words.

Of the cartoony ones, Cinderella is my fave. I love the bit where the mice make her dress. ?

OOh is hard to choose, for sure!

I have Snow White in a soft spot as it was the first movie I've seen on the cinemas.

I love Lion King, but mostly because of Timon and Pumbaa!

I have others I like but I think I am more of a Pixar girl myself Smiley winking

The Parent Trap, but even then I prefer the original which I'm not sure is Disney or not.

    newer:

    Mulan. No, Tarzan.

    Damnit, it's just too hard!
