Diy Advice - Stationary

EAC13, 16 March, 2013 at 18:17 Posted on Planning 0 9

Hi, I'm looking for a bit of advice. The time has come for making stationary - can anybody recommend a good double sided sticky and self adhesive diamantes/pearl dots? Also a website selling ribbon?

Thanks in advance!

I bought some 'diamantes' from WHSmith craft area - they were in small bags (lots of different colours in the range) and I bought clear ones for only 99p. They aren't sef adhesive though, but I just used some craft glue with a small nozzle.

Scotch double sided is ace. Much stickier thn some. Maybe a little thicker too, so it depends what you're doing with it. Whenever I've stuck diamantes on things, I've used ds tape or glue - the self-adhesive ones never seem that sticky. EBay for ribbon, cheap as chips.

I would say ebay is the best for ribbon. I got 5 meters for £1.50 including postage

I initially used a double sided tape dispenser like the one in the picture, but after a day, the invite became unstuck, so ended up using craft glue. Therefore wouldnt recommend that type.

For ribbon, I got it off ebay. Diamantes I think were from hobby craft.

Went to hobbycraft today and got 3 packs of 100 adhesive pearls at £1.49 per pack amongst many other bits.

Try Hobbycraft and other craft sites and shops.
