DIY brooch bouquets

Hi planning on making my own brooch bouquet & i've been collecting brooches for quite a while now. i'm not getting married till november but wanted to ask anyone who has made there own how long did it take to make? i dont want it made to soon incase the brooches go dull but dont want to leave it till the last minute & having to rush it either. also any hints or tips would be great too thanx x
