DIY Menu

MrsRainbowtobe, 3 September, 2012 at 12:32 Posted on Planning 0

Hi there,

3 weeks on Friday and panicking!!

A question to the brides who are diying the stationary yourselves, what and how have you done menus? What size are you using, did you buy paper that size or use A4 and trim it down?

Id like a menu to be long and think, like a compliment slip size but can’t find paper that size anywhere!!

Im using WORD, and changed the paper size to DL who when I print out, everything is enlarged and looks like a font size 26.

Im wondering if those of you who know what your doing more than me can offer any advise?

Thanks :-)

DL is the right size for what you want (1/3 A4) but I wouldn't just print one to a page.

Change the orientation to landscape then create three DL sized text boxes across the page.

Bear in mind that you'll have quite large margins so you won't be able to go right to the edge with your content.

Or, just do two DL sized text boxes per page.

I would change the line on the text boxes to a very faint grey - visible enough to trim round but not a big black line.

I had A6 sized menus (4 to each A4 page)
