DIY Pick n Mix

BristolBride2812, 25 August, 2018 at 15:13 Posted on Planning 0 4

Hi everyone,

We’re planning on sourcing our own pick n mix for our wedding as I’m a bit of a nut for sweets and just realised I have no idea how much to buy! Has anyone else done DIY pick n mix? It’s not the end of the world if we over order cause I’m happy to eat the extras but would rather not overspend too much.

Thanks!

I just ordered mine from Makro online...hairdo and foam sweets, like you I won't worry if I over order I will use them for Halloween the following month or just eat them before then....

We're doing our own too, and are also using makro. Can I recommend IKEA for mason jars to put them in? They were £1-£2 each!

Yeah I think we’re most likely going to makro too. Having added up the current costs of the wedding really trying not to overspend on sweets! Maybe I’ll buy the jars first and choose sweet quantities from there...

We’re getting out sweetie table as part of our venue package so I don’t know how much they’ll be using.

I think my friend worked on 100g per guest or 5kg per 50 guests.

If you don’t want to overspend, it might be worth thinking about catering for a percentage of guests as not everyone will eat them.

Oh great, that’s a good idea thinking about it as a portion per person like that. Thanks!
