I got stuff in my local craft shop, but I also got loads on ebay and I bought blank pre scored cards in the works (not sure if you have one near you?) The cards are really good quality and were really cheap xx

I didnt try hobby craft because i want to actually see hte stuff and there is no hobbycraft near me - thanks though!

Shoegal, remind me are you in Scotland? If so where abouts and I can let you know of some craft shops.

I got 50 blank cards with envelopes for £5 (or they had an offer on at 2 packs for £8).

I also bought glue and some little heart things from there too. Let me know if you have any joy finding stuff x

The papermill shop is where I got all my card from and envelopes. They where really helpful as well, when I explained what I wanted to do. I had a rough idea of I wanted so managed to get my ribbon of the net, the rest of the decorations I got of ebay. Which I have managed to save a bit of money on

Ebay and the works. My local The Works do a fill a box for 4.99 and you get a bloody deep box and can fill it with card and paper till its full. Much cheaper than 20p a sheet!!! Thats what I did and its been bloody marvelous!

I thought the works just did books!! I will be in there this weekend ramsacking it!!

Ebay has been my best friend during planning!!

Got 40 sheets of this card (close up) and 30 sheets of this self adhesive paper (both A4) for just under a tenner inc postage

I have only used about 7 sheets of each to make 100 these so have LOADS left! Oh and the little pearls on the front were £1 for 200!

I was very lucky as my OH is a printer as is able to *cough* acquire some card for me?

Just need to buy envelopes but there are some good deals on ebay!

ETA: I worked out that each invitation cost me under 10p to make!

ETA: (again) I got most of the bits for my table numbers and seating plan from Hobbycraft. Haven't made them yet but I will be sure to show them off once I do!

Yes pretty much "pink patterned card" (in your case black) and saw what it came up with as I wasn't really sure what I wanted myself!

Alternatively, go to the Crafts section and then "card making and scrap booking" and narrow your search by colour.

Also what I always do is to arrange the search results by "time left" on the right hand side of the listings. You can grab some good last minute bargains that way!

I think that is half the battle with ebaying, If you know what you're searching for (the exact name) it makes it a whole lot easier.

Have some stationery advice....

ive just recieved a RSVP from an aunt and realised I had given her an EVENING GUEST bus slip as opposed to a day guest so shes trying to sort out transport etc etc....when infact its all there for the guests. So be careful when packing your envelopes!
