How much on average do u pay for a DJ for the reception because i don't know what a reasonable price is and what is expensive

    I think anything around the 250-300 is reasonable, but alot charge extra for the lighting, especialy the mood lighting, I had a quote for £600, and thought for a few hundred £ more I can get myself a live band which is what we did in the end.

    I can only offer what I have paid and hope that helps?

    I've paid £185.00 for 7 - 12 (Bar shuts at twelve) So didn't need him any longer than that - I think mines pretty cheap though I think the average I came across when looking was about £250.

    Ours is 330 and thats including bubbble machine and 12 uplights, plus 6-12 music and video!

    Hi, I was quoted £500 and £600 by two DJs at the National Wedding Show, but the DJ for my engagement part was £250!
