Dj

I just wanted a few opinions.

Our reception is being held in a small-ish room, smaller than some of the other rooms due to numbers there was no point having our reception in a room that could hold up to 150 there would of been no atmosphere so we decided to go for the restaurant. I'm now wondering about the DJ setting up, how long will it take and as he will be doing the music in the same room we are eating it's going to be quite disruptive and we would have to vacate to another room for approx 1 hr so I was thinking it might be best if I ask the DJ to set up in the morning so it's ready for the evening. Good idea or not?

It depends on the dj but i would imagine you may get charged extra as you are then dominating part of his day aswell as the evening.

If there is room for DJ to set up in the moring would be a good idea - there would normally be an additional charge for this.

Please remember though that as you are having your meal in the same room as the dancing there will a requirement to 'turn the room around' - tables cleared and reset, tables and chairs moved to make space for dancing, maybe a dancefloor to put down etc. Your DJ can normally set up in this time - it is a bit of a rush but do-able.
