Do any OMs miss their wedding day?

*Nursey*, 13 October, 2012 at 17:05 Posted on Planning 0 17

I just looked up my wedding report to get some pictures of my dress for the model/bride dress thread...

...big mistake! I read my report (plus the comments) and now I really wish I could go back in time to live that one day again. I will never feel like that again. It's not fair.

Anyone else feel this way?

That's really strange - I read my report and the comments last night!

I do miss it. I'm not down about it per se and I haven't had wedding blues but it really was a fantastic day and sad to think there's not likely to be another occasion anytime soon when all of my nearest and dearest are in the same room.

I'm not down about it per se either (I'm down about something else today, but that's different), just looking back and sighing in a happy yet sad way.

No other life event is going to have that feeling, is it?

No, I don't think so! It makes me glad I made as much of it as I did.

I miss mine. Was so stressed in the run up, and so didn't really expect to enjoy the day. But I loved every single second of it, felt like a dream/fairy tale (cheesy cliche I know) and it went super-quickly. Wish I could re-live it! Love looking at my photos from the day

I re read my report sometimes. I loved my day, and to be honest it is one of the only times that we have been totally just together and concentrating on us and our relationship. Looking at OH's face in our photos, I have truly never seen him laugh and smile so much - he's not one to show his emotions, and by that I don't just mean lovey dovey stuff, I mean even happiness and sadness. Seeing OH that relaxed and happy means the world to me. We spent the whole day laughing, giggling, hugging, smiling, and yes, if I could relive that, I would.

I don't know how I'd even find my report again now, but yes, I do miss my day (despite only being 3 months ago), its just one of those amazing feeling moments you can't get back in any way.

Bad hitcher here as I haven't even done my report, with everything else thats been going on I just haven't had time. I have to say that I miss a lot of stuff - the excitement of planning, the shopping ? and the fun we had on the day itself. Oh and having nice hair for once in my life lol.

    No it's not bad!

The feelings on the day were wonderful but I wouldn't want to do it all again. I packed up my dress yesterday without a second thought and when our album arrived a few weeks back we both looked through it with smiles but zero nostalgia! I like having projects and being super organised making lists and having lots to do, so I thought I would miss that but as it turns out we started house hunting very quickly so that has taken up my attention.

I wish I could do it every year, It was an amazing day. Wouldn't want any of the planning though, that bored me to tears. I also don't feel down about it but I do a bit about the Honeymoon. That was very hard to come home from and makes the cold wet weather see so much worse now.

Really do need to change the photos really as i the ones i used were the low res crappy ones where as now i have the high res nice ones.
