Do I need a handbag?

Purple Pixie, 19 April, 2012 at 13:06 Posted on Planning 0 21

Part of me thinks that I don't want the hassle of looking after it/carrying it around.

Part of me thinks where else will I put my lippy/tissues/etc.

What are you doing?

I'm going to put a make up bag in the toilets near the reception room just in case. My mother always carries tissues in her handbag so I will ask her to be on standby when I start blubbing at the altar!

Going in my mums bag! and i've got one of those 'bathroom' box things with sos stuff in.

plus if i go to the loo i think ill go to teh bridal suite rather than take my chances in a toilet cubicle, so i can get anything from my room.

I will use my bridesmaids bag or as I'm stopping at the venue the night before and we have exclusive use I'll probably stick a bag of stuff in the toilet. Main thing will be lippy and poss some mints if I stink after the meal ?

Im planning to keep my lippy in my BM's bags, I've bought them little clutch bags to go with the dresses and mini deodorant bottles in case it gets too warm! and I will ask my mum to carry tissues in case I need them at the alter

My mum is making me take a handbag which she's then going to look after for me apparently... ? As soon as we're married and have the keys to the bridal suite I'll chuck it in there to save worrying about it!

All of the things like that for me were in my mums handbag. It is great idea to have something somewhere, even if it is just in the bathroom

I'll be giving everything to my bridesmaids or my mum. I think it would be a pain in the neck to carry around a handbag and flowers and you'd need to give it to someone when getting your photo taken.

Once we get to the reception I'll dump any big items in our room and stick my lippy in OH's sporran. I love taking advantage of the man bag!

Makeup and tissues etc will be going in mothers handbag! ? Although I always carry a bag around with me so it might feel a little odd not having one!

I will be putting essentials in my CBMs bag but most things will have in my room, so I can go there for 5 mins of peace if I need it! also dont fancy trying to get into a cubicle with my dress!

No bag for me, essentials can go in my mum's bag and everything I need will be in my room at the venue anyway.

I am going to get one. Reckon I want to have all my bits and pieces together rather than rooting in BMs bags, just need to find a reliable someone to look after it until the Reception! Am thinking that it will be nice to have a lovely bag on my honeymoon so I will get my moneysworth hopefully!!

No bag for me either. Don't want to be faffing remembering it and carrying it about, finding somewhere to put it down as I'm chatting, hugging etc etc. Of the essential items you REALLY need can someone else carry those? Like others have said, my mum and OH's sporran will be useful for lippy and other small bits of makeup.

No way am I lugging a bag around lol. I'm tempted to buy my bridesmaids matching handbags so I can put my stuff in there lol. Either that or mum or MIL lol. I think you will find it a hassle and I don't know if I would like to carry a bag and a bouquet, itl take away from the effect of the flowers i think.......leave the worrying about lippie to someone else and farm you're items out to other peoples handbags lol

I had one that went over my wrist, I think this is the only photo you can see it on but it did come on handy and I didnt even notice it in the end! I handed it over to my Mum at certain points but was handy when I wanted to go to the loo but stop to chat to a million people on route.
