Do I need to feed my wedding planner?

Hi

We are getting married in Italy and wondered if I need to provide a meal for my wedding planner and two photographers? At €80 a head this is obviously going to be expensive.

I could just ask the wedding planner but feel its a little rude.

Thanks

    Hi,

You are supposed to provide meals for your vendors who will stay all day during your wedding (photographer, videographer, wedding planner...). Normally your caterer would have meals for them which should be cheaper than the ones your guests will have.

However you should check your planner's contract and your photographers' if there is a clause about this. It should be specified in their contracts. If not, I would ask my wedding planner. I don't think it's rude. She is supposed to guide you and give you all this kind of information.

    Hope it helps.

Hi, sweetie?. It would be better to provide meals for both the wedding planner and two photographers. They will stay with u guys the whole day. It may be a little awkward if just invite the planner. ?

    Hi,

You are expected to provide food for the professionals who will be there throughout the day. I am a wedding planner in Chennai and my clients provide me and my staff food. At some wedding, my clients called me over the phone at the diner time when I was out of the site with another client. I think it will be rude to provide separate food for the professionals.

Speak to your caterer. Our does meals for suppliers that are much cheaper than the meals we’re giving our guests.

Yes, I feel you should provide meal and other basic things which they need while they were in your home. You must treat them as a guest like others this not only gives them a good gesture from your side but also get return in the form of good work and respect for you all. This act also shows your behaviour how you deal with people at home. Do it you will feel happy and lighter.

Yes, but our venue does a reduced rate for any staff there on the day, I'd imagine lots of places do the same.

Planners and photographer will be working all day long for your wedding. A wedding day can be very long.
Providing them with a nice meal show them how much you value them and their work.

I once had only a piece of cold pizza at 10PM and no time to get something else...

I think the consensus is clear - yes. Anyone that is close enough to actually be at the ceremony/reception should be treated equally and that includes a meal.
