I did, told them that the shop I've previously went to sold it £50 cheaper....so they gave it to me £50 cheaper....I work with the mentality: If you dont ask, you dont get!

Yep I got £100 off. I found another shop in the West Mids that had a weekend sale on. It was further away than my shop so I asked if they would price match and they did. Worst they can do is say no!

What i did was look up all the stockits of the dress i wanted in the local area, called each one and found it a whopping 350 cheaper than the original shop i tried it on in, so its worth making a few calls round the shops that stock the make of the dress you want

Thanks ladies, i looked up stockists and called about. in fairness my shop was cheapest!! called up planning on asking for reduction but before i even got that far and was explaining it was over my budget so i needed dress alteration costs, the manager said she would reduce by £70 rounding it off to a straight 1k and would do me a veil or tiara (whichever cost more) for half price!! so saving over £100, definately worth trying!!!

course you can ask for discount! Just use the old faithful line..."Is that the best price you can do?" to which if she doesnt reduce it... then say you arent 100% sure what you want and will be in touch! Smiley winking
