It was cheesecake but different sizes on sizes on tiers like a cake. My mum makes amazing cheesecakes so i could have my big elaborate cake (maybe 5/6 tiers!) with different fruit on each one and H2B adores cheesecake. We were also thinking we could serve it for pudding which means we could allocate more of the venue catering budget to drinks etc....

But do people like cheesecake? H2B thinks its just as likely people will eat this as anything else we'd have for pudding (they'll only be one choice) but i'm worried some people wouldnt like it. What do you think??

I really love cheese cake, it's my fave pudding but I like creamy ones best rather than baked ones. x

Even though I make cakes every day of my life I'd still rather have a slice of cheesecake than most other types of cake.

However, just one thing (really not trying to put a spanner in the works - honest!) you'll need to consider whether you can have it out on display as you would a normal wedding cake. Obviously, they should really be kept refrigerated and some venues are funny about serving something which has not been kept/stored in the correct conditions. Also how will it be if it's a really hot day? Obviously, not sure when you're getting married and what type of venue you're using but you may need to consider this.

I went to a wedding where the cupcakes were kept in a turny-illuminated-fridge-thing, as they were melting.

It was a bit odd, like being in a deli........ but this could solve your problem, as you'd just get it out for the "cutting photos," but it would still be on display.

I just found this site that makes cheesecake wedding cakes, not a bad price to be honest! My H2B really wants a cheesecake one so this could be a possibility!

Wow well i think cheesecake is a winner then!!!!

That is a good point made about storing etc...i did think about that. We're getting married next July so it could wasily be hot and the venue is a hotel....will have a chat with them about storage etc.

I may or may not have bought a cheesecake for tea yesterday after thinking about it all day!!!
