Do the PMs work or not??

I just noticed 'Conversations' at the top of my page and I'm looking at them trying to recall having them! They are all from 2008 it would seem...... but does that mean the function works again if the profile is storing them???

    Well i just did a test and tried to do a conversation with you and it didnt work

    Yea i clicked the send you an email option and that didnt work either...

    rubbish. why offer it then? bah. ta for proving it Smiley smile

    The PM/Email/Conversations failure after the "upgrade" to the website was sorted a short time ago although seems to have failed once again. It is quite frustrating......

    The way to do it is to ask someone to become your friend on here, then through conversations you can give them your email address. It's SO annoying though, I'm mainly on BT and there's a regular for sale/wanted thread, which you have to post your personal email address on if you want to sell anything. I posted in April on the thread on the feedback forum which I think Peter originally started MONTHS ago about this, no one is replying though. ?

    I think it is patchy - I just tried to start a conversation with you TeeHee but couldn't. But I do have messages from a few other people and only on of those I am 'friends' with.

    I am sure that Darren won't mind me posting this....it is a segment from a PM that DID work........and may explain the problem:

    It seems to throw an error but does send the message. It looks like a number of people have email addresses in the system that are not correctly stored. The system for some reason has encoded the . and @ symbols to web safe chars.

    We are looking at how we can convert them back to the correct format. I think for everyone else PMs should be working ok.
