No, not a Christmas engagement for me as I've been engaged for a couple of months now but I did have an amazing present - my dad gave us £500 as a deposit for the venue. This was the one thing I was desperate not to leave much longer but struggling to get the money together so this is fantastic.

A friend of mine got engaged over Christmas. I got this very excited text message on Christmas morning about it. It was quite funny, as the last time I'd spoken to her, she'd been having a real whinge about him.

Just have to find out how many new year engagements there will be now...???

Hello new people, and I agree that tomorrow there might be quite a few people popping the question!

I'm proposing to my fiance tomorrow night.

We believe we've been getting 'hints' every day since February as we've either heard or seen something about marriage/weddings every day since Feb.

I'm so excited and just wish we could get married now, but we're being realistic and hoping to get a date around July 2011.
