Do you change when you get home?

Randy, 15 October, 2008 at 18:02 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 54

Your clothes I mean.

I really must start, my clothes get trashed in the evenings. Kids, pah!

And what to wear? Tracksuits always seem too slovenly. I think I'll get a few more pairs of jeans for slouching around in.

Gosh yes, the minute I get home I change into either jogging bottoms / sweatshire or some kind of "lounging pyjamas" outfit. Very glamerous. However, seen as H wanders around in a pair of shorts most of the time I think I'm let off.

Yes, first thing i do when I get home is change into tracksuit bottoms, fleece and warm fluffy socks. most importantly though I get out of my bra and wear a comfy sports bra.

Yes I do, straight away. I put some pyjamas on. They look more like tracksuits though.

Yes, if I'm out working during the day I wear suits and I couldn't be on with wearing them at home. I have lots of jeans, t-shirts and jumpers to wear around the house. Although I am ashamed to admit at the minute I am sitting in H's jumper and a dressing gown because even though the heating is on my house just ain't warm anough

Hell yes. my uniform is vile ?

i tend to wear jooging bottoms or cotton/flannel pyjama pants rather than jeans though, far more comfortable

sometimes if i work until 9pm i just leave my work blouse on, rather than dirtying a tshirt for the sake of a couple of hours, and put on some jogging bottoms. that looks attractive ?

Generaly yes. I like to feel I'm done with work which is why I also hated casual fridays - I'm far less productive working in jeans.

I'm more business casual than suit these days but am generaly fairly smart at work.

I'll either wear my PJ's or trackie bottoms and a T shirt if I'm in for the night, or jeans and something if i may have to go out or be seen!

I'm also straight into my PJs when I get home. I wouldn't feel comfortable sitting round in my work clothes at home.

Yes - mostly into jeans, but on especially lazy days like today straight into dressing gown & slippers (old fart icon)

Generally, no. But when it starts to get really cold here I will often go home and put my pjs, thick fluffy dressing gown and slippers on. For warmth as much as comfort really.

I nearly always change when I get in from work as quite often I'm covered in snot and drool and occasionally worse as the kids have little control or idea about not getting that all over you! If I'm not covered in that then its covered in paint or something else messy.

I usually just change into a different pair of jeans and t-shirt (I wear jeans and t-shirt for work most of the time) or put on my PJs.

My husband always changes from his work gear Mon-Thurs as he wears shirt and tie. He doesn't change on a Friday as he wears jeans and tshirt!

Always. I can't bear even going out in my work clothes straight after work. Cargo kind of trousers and t-shirts here.

Definitely yes, the first thing I do when I get in is get changed. Lately it has consistently been into a pair of £4 Juicy Couture-esque tracky bottoms from Primark.

Now that we are suited and booted all the time I love getting changed as soon as I get it - it spells the end of the working day for me Smiley smile

Those of you who change into PJs, do you finish very late? What do you get up to of an evening?

I never change, unless it's been a crazy hot summer day and I'm all sweaty ?
I wear comfy stuff for work, usually a skirt and fancy t-shirt top, so that's fine to lounge around in.

Yes-almost straight away into pjs. My H hates it! He just thinks it's "wrong".

As soon as I get in I put my pajamas and slippers on. I work 8-8 three days a week so get home at 815 and am in bed a couple of hours later. If I did a 9-5 job then I probably wouldn't.

Usually, unless I've been wearing a comfy skirt. I tend to get changed into black joggers and a jersey or my cosy bathrobe if I have a night on the sofa!

Regardless of whether I've been working or not I always change in my tracky bottoms or PJ's around 9pm and I whip my bra off and let them 'hang free'. I never wear pj's to bed though (I get too hot) so change again when I get into bed around 11pm. It's my way of winding down.

I get home about 6pm and get changed into pj's straight away or something equally as comfy, my bra must come off as they are evil! Today I just wore a smart cozy jumper to work so I kept that on and changing into jogging bottoms. I can't stand staying in jeans or work clothes and have always changed. I couldn't care less about who came to the door as they are the ones that will get a fright with me wearinig big monster feet slippers! ?

As soon as I'm home the jeans come off and PJ bottoms go on, regardless of what time of day it is.

I always used to when I worked. Partly so my work clothes didn't get covered in cat hair, and partly as a psychological 'end' of work thing. I usually put jeans and t shirt on. I wouldn't put PJs on in case someone came round to visit!

My PJs and nighties are strictly for evenings only! Sorry Jelly Baby, I had to laugh, I'm sitting here in an oversized plaid shirt whilst my OH has beenm wearing his 'comfy shorts' for hours. Technically my plaid shirts are nighties but I've worn them to ADSA on occaision. I hate wearing anyhting actually in bed, but I love coming home and putting one on - thats whan I'm truly relaxed. Workwear is for work only! I thnk it stems from conditioning in my schooldays.

My mum couldn't afford to buy extra uniforms so we had to get changed as soon as we got in from school, now I have two wardribes - work and home.

I have more house clothes than I do going out clothes. I change instantly when I get in, I can't bear being restricted and uncomfortable in clothes. It stops my good stuff getting ruined lying around in it too. I have a mixture of jogging bottoms, tshirts, jumpers, summer and winter pyjamas and long nighties (sooooo sexy!)

If we didn't live with MiL, I would be starkers a lot more, I far prefer being free. ?

I'm a chef and am not allowed to wear my whites outside of work (not that you'd want to!) I travel to work in jeans and casual tops and travel back in the same, having worn them for only a 15-minute (ish) car journey so, no, I don't tend to change until I have a bath later in the evening. I work 10am-4pm generally though, so changing into pyjamas after work is bizarre to me- I often nip to the shops or have friends visit of an evening- not good when wearing pjs! If I work 4pm-finish (about midnight) then, yes, I change when I get in from work! ?
